Disney’s D23 2026 convention is in the rear view mirror but Disney theme park fans are still buzzing about the massive Piston Peak model that was on display on the show floor. The 225 square-foot model showed the entire land, including the Ridge Run Rally and Ms. Fritter Demolition Derby attractions. In this post we’re going to take a look at the model from many different angles

The Piston Peak National Park signed welcomed visitors to the section with the model.

Overlooking the entire Cars-themed land.

Ridge Run Rally is on the right, while the land’s other ride, Ms. Fritter Demolition Derby is on the left.

Ms. Fritter Demolition Derby is a flat ride similar to Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree in Disney California Adventure and Alien Saucer Swirlers in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Ridge Run Rally ride simulates off-road driving and rally racing.

One part of Ridge Run Rally takes riders up a snowcapped mountain.

At the bottom of this image you can see Haunted Mansion. It looks like a thick line of trees will seperate the two very different sections of the park.

On the opposite side of the land is Big Thunder Mountain.

This image shows the Big Thunder Mountain queue building next to Piston Peak.

The waterway of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure can be seen here.

The ride vehicles for Ridge Run Rally. I love how they’re muddy. There’s not many ride vehicles that have a dirty look to them.

Disney Imagineer Jason Grant announced a new Cars character created for Piston Peak named Ranger J. Autobahn Woodlore. This character is inspired by J. Audubon Woodlore from the classic Disney Humphrey the bear shorts.
Are you excited for Piston Peak? Anything in the model stand out to you? Let me know in the comments.
