Posted by After months of anticipation, Oriental Land Company, which are the owners and operators of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, have announced a replacement for the beloved show Big Band Beat.
The new show is called “Bring the Rhythm!” OLC tweeted the news from their official account earlier today and said the show “draws you into an experience as if you’re wandering through the streets of a grand metropolis.” OLC also confirmed “Bring the Rhythm!” will have live singing, musicians, and dancers. No exact opening date was given, but OLC did say the show would premiere in Fall, 2027.
“Bring the Rhythm!” replaces the beloved classic Big Band Beat, which ran in the same venue in Tokyo DisneySea July 14, 2006 to September 30, 2025.
Our Thoughts
I’m a huge fan of Big Band Beat and miss it dearly. Unfortunately that show was never the same after Tokyo DisneySea reopened after the pandemic in 2021. Almost all of the things that made Big Band Beat great, such as the wonderful live band and singers, were removed after the pandemic, and the show ran with pre-recorded singing and music. “Bring the Rhythm!” sounds like it will be a true return to form. It definitely has big shoes to fill, as Big Band Beat was one of the most popular and in demand shows in Tokyo Disney Resort’s history. We can’t wait to see “Bring the Rhythm!” when it opens in 2027!
