A brand new Wreck-It Ralph ride is coming to Tokyo Disneyland and we finally have some more information and an opening date.
Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue will open in Tokyo Disneyland’s Tomorrowland on April 15, 2027, which also happens to be the park’s 44th anniversary. The ride is an interactive dark ride that is a reimagining of Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters, which was the ride previously located in the same building.

Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue is just one part of Tokyo Disneyland’s completely reimagined Tomorrowland. As you can see from the concept art released by Disney and OLC, the exterior of the attraction will get a new look that matches the rest of the land.

The premise of the attraction is that King Candy has corrupted the Sugar Bugs, and they’re trying to take over Sugar Rush. Riders need to help Ralph and Vanellope defend Sugar Rush by using their handheld scanners. At the end of the attraction, riders can see how many Sugar Bugs they saved and the total number of points they recieved.
We’re looking forward to Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue as well as the rest of the updated Tomorrowland. While it still is a fun ride, the aesthetics of Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters is dated and garish. Vanellope is a popular character in Tokyo Disneyland. In recent years she had her own seasonal park-wide celebrations, and a massive line of merchandise. This is sure to be a huge hit for the park.
