On October 24, 2024, Hungry Bear Barbeque Jamboree opened at Disneyland. As soon as Disney confirmed a selection of Country Bear Jamboree music would be included in the restaurant’s music loop, I knew I had to be the first one to sit and listen and note every song on the playlist. I did, and here it is:
Franklin Swing – Larry Franklin
Try Everything – from Country Bear Musical Jamboree
Whistlin’ Rufus – Stuart Duncan
When You And I Were Young Maggie – Raymond
Fairchild
Steel Guitar Rag – Jeff Autry and a bunch of people
Kiss the Girl – from Country Bear Musical Jamboree

Wabash Cannonball – Mark Howard, Stuart Duncan
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious – from Country Bear Musical Jamboree

I Want to Be a Cowboy’s Sweetheart – Mark Howard
Watching Mountain Rain – Poppa Steve
Fixer Upper – from Country Bear Musical Jamboree
Fireball Mail – Josh Graves & Rob Ickes
Brilliancy – Maddie Denton
New Waltz – Joe Newberry & April Verch
Stumptown – Nickel Creek
Earl’s Breakdown – Roy Clark & Buck Trent
You’ve Got a Friend in Me – from Country Bear Musical Jamboree
Black Mountain Blues – Mac Martin & The Dixie
Travelers
Smokey Mountain Rag – Shot Jackson
Foolin’ Around – Aubrey Haynie
Bear Necessitates – from Country Bear Musical Jamboree
Texema Bound – The Time Jumpers
Fiddling Under the Mistletoe – April Verch
Banjo Bounce – Allen Shelton
Cascade – Chet Atkins
Roger and Marty – Roy Edwin Williams
Okay… as you can see there are seven Country Bear songs while the rest is made up of rather generic country western music. All Country Bear songs on the loop are from Country Bear Musical Jamboree. Obviously as a huge Country Bear fan this is a huge disappointment. No songs from any of the three original shows. Also, how can you have an outdoor barbecue restaurant and not include Great Outdoors from Country Bear Vacation Hoedown. Very odd.
Anyway, I’m still glad I sat and listened and noted. It was my gift to the internet and Country Bear fandom. Multiple people immediately jumped to action and made full playlists on YouTube with all of the songs:

Thankfully there’s some nice Country Bear items to look at. Including portraits of the bears and Teddi Barra’s swing.
Thank you to my friend Yuucanium for again inviting me to his Country Bear Advent Calendar. Please check it out to see the other entires.
